Nix - The Nixtape

Nix is an emcee of Chinese-Indonesian heritage. Born in Broken Hill and raised in the suburbs of North-West Sydney, Nix developed his love for hip-hop in high school and began to dabble in the art of rhyme not long after. During this time, Nix did not take his music too seriously and following high school he relocated to Canberra for university studies. It was not until completing his studies and commencing full-time work that he decided to focus on making music a priority.

Nix’s music is a reflection of his everyday life. From the tough decisions we have to make in life to the emotions that come with heartbreak, Nix explores topics that almost anyone can relate to, no matter where they are from. Nix’s style can be described as sincere and heartfelt, with a boom-bap twist, and this is evident in the release of his debut mixtape ‘The Nixtape’ – a musical journey filled with honest and witty lyrics, smooth flows and dope beats. The Nixtape features artwork by Jim Mahfood and guest appearances from Percee P, Illmaculate, Tycotic, Losty, LHA & more.
